Last night the Indiana Fever played against the Washington Mystics and won. Not only was this the first game after the Olympics but it was also Tamika Catchings’ first game back after winning her third straight gold in London. Welcome back Tamika, and congragulations!

The game last night was aginst the Washington Mystics where former Fever player Shannon Bobbitt got to play against her former team. The Mystics took the first points of the game and tried to keep the lead but the Fever soon caught up the. Just
about the entire first half was a fight for the ball and a struggle to put it in the basket. But the Fever ended up on top at the end of the first half 40-38.

In the second half the Fever kept their lead over the Mystics with amazing 3-point shots and better rebounds, and at the start of the fourth quarter the Fever are still ahead 60-47. Then at the end of the game the Fever win 84-66.

The Fever played their very best last night and everyone of the players made their mark on the court, Erlana Larkins got 16 points last night and helped out a lot with the rebounding. Karima Christmas also did very well last night in helping the Fever keep the ball, even Sasha Goodlett the rookie from Georgia tech played the best I have seen her play all season. And of course cannot forget Brian January and Katie Douglas with their 3-pointers that helped them get ahead of the Mystics and keep their lead. Also once again Tamika Catchings showed us how she got her 3 gold medals.

The next Fever game with be August 18th against the Atlanta Dream at home @ 7:00. Where Catching will play against USA team mate, Angel McCoughtry.
